Group bus pickup at Tokyo Station and Ginza

The area from Marunouchi and Nihonbashi to Ginza is central for business travellers and shoppers, and it is the quickest part of the city to reach from Narita. It also has some of the strictest stopping conditions, so meeting points are always agreed in advance.

Tokyo Station and Marunouchi

Tokyo Station has public bus terminals on the Yaesu side for scheduled expressway and airport buses. Charter coaches are arranged separately and usually cannot wait at the station plazas. Business hotels and office towers in Marunouchi and Nihonbashi often have their own vehicle access, which is the most reliable option for a group.

For groups arriving by Shinkansen and continuing by coach, choose a meeting point that the whole group can reach on foot with luggage, and allow time to gather everyone after the train arrives.

Ginza

Ginza is a popular shopping stop, but coaches cannot simply park on the main street. Chuo City has provided a coach loading zone that works with reservations and short time slots. A shopping stop in Ginza is therefore planned around a slot: the coach drops off, leaves, and comes back at the agreed time.

Loading-zone rules can change. We check the current conditions and book a slot where needed for your date.

Timing and luggage

  • From this area the Higashi-Kanto Expressway towards Narita is close, which makes it a good base for early departures.
  • Weekday rush hours slow traffic around the station; plan airport runs with a buffer.
  • Tell us the number of suitcases: a minibus may need a separate luggage solution for a group with large bags.

Frequently asked questions

Can a charter bus use the Tokyo Station bus terminal?

Generally no. The terminals on the Yaesu side serve scheduled buses. Charter coach pickups are confirmed separately, usually at a hotel or an agreed loading point.

How long can the bus wait in Ginza while we shop?

It normally does not wait on the street. The coach drops you off at a loading point, moves to parking, and returns at the agreed time, so a fixed meeting time matters.

How far is Narita from Tokyo Station?

About 65–70 km, roughly 60–90 minutes by coach depending on traffic.
