Group bus pickup in Asakusa and Ueno
Asakusa and Ueno are favourites for tour groups thanks to Senso-ji, the museums of Ueno Park and good-value hotels. Taito City manages tourist coaches here actively, so stopping points and parking are part of the plan from the start.
Request a quoteCoach rules around Senso-ji
Taito City has had a dedicated policy for tourist coaches since 2017, with boarding points, drop-off points and ward-run coach parking. Some of these work with reservations during busy hours. We check the current arrangements for your date and plan drop-off and pickup at points where a coach is allowed to stop.
Waiting near Kaminarimon or on Asakusa's narrow side streets is not an option for a large bus. The driver drops the group off, moves to parking and returns at the agreed time.
Ueno
Around Ueno Station and Ueno Park, roads are wide but busy, and the station plazas are for scheduled buses and taxis. Museums and hotels in the area sometimes have vehicle access; otherwise we agree a meeting point near the park that suits the coach size.
Timing, luggage and the airport
- From Asakusa and Ueno, the expressways towards Narita are close; it is one of the quicker areas for Narita transfers.
- Weekend mornings around Senso-ji are crowded; an early visit is easier for both the group and the driver.
- Many hotels here are compact. For airport transfers, confirm that the hotel entrance fits the vehicle, or plan a short walk with luggage.
Frequently asked questions
Can the bus wait for us near Senso-ji?
No. Coaches drop off and pick up at points where stopping is allowed, and wait at coach parking in between. We confirm the current rules and any reservation for your date.
Is Asakusa a good area for Narita transfers?
Yes. It is roughly 60–90 minutes from Narita by coach for about 60–70 km, depending on traffic, which is quicker than the western districts.
Can several coaches load at the same time in Asakusa?
It depends on the boarding point and the time. For school groups or multi-coach tours we plan staggered arrivals so each coach can load quickly.
